Partner Agreements
We're so excited to have you join us for our 30th annual Stand For Children Day, since 1997 parents across the state have come together once a year to fight for a child care system that centers the needs of working families.
We have two opportunities for partners to join. Allies are organizations who share our vision for a child care system rooted in racial and gender justice, but who do not do grassroots organizing work. Power Builders are organizations who do grassroots organizing and power building work with parents directly impacted by the child care system.
Allies are invited to participate in the Power Rally and March portion of Stand for Children Day, and are welcome to assist with dropping off materials at the offices of elected officials in the afternoon. Power Builders are invited to participate in the Power Rally and March, and are also invited to join us for legislative visits that our organizers are scheduling in the afternoon.
You will indicate below which category your organization represents.
Scheduling Legislative Visits
Parent Voices is scheduling legislative visits with elected officials on Stand for Children Day. Power Builders are invited to join for those visits. We will also be coordinating drop-offs for the other offices. Our goal is that the voices of parents are centered on Stand for Children Day. If partners plan to schedule additional legislative visits, please coordinate with Jennifer Greppi, Parent Policy Director jennifer@parentvoices.org to reduce duplication and align talking points.
Cost of Participation
In honor of our 30th Anniversary there is a $30/person cost for partner organization staff to attend Stand for Children Day. Included in the cost is a light breakfast, lunch, a Parent Voices t-shirt, and transportation (pending space availability, so please confirm ASAP!) For Power Builder organizations bringing parent members, there is no cost for parent members to attend, and they will still receive food, a Parent Voices t-shirt, and transportation.
